How to Make a QR Code Menu for Your Restaurant, Step by Step

·3 min read

Step 1: Pick a plan and register

Choose your plan on the pricing page. Then message us on WhatsApp or email with the plan name, your name, restaurant name, email address and phone number. Our team creates your ART account on that plan and sends you your login details. No credit card is needed, and your first month is free.

Step 2: Create your menu

Log in to your ART dashboard and upload photos of your current menu. ART creates your food categories and dish entries with their names and details, and adds a default picture for each dish. You can replace any default picture with a real photo or a short 4-second video whenever you like.

On the Ultimate plan, our team helps with this step as assisted menu setup. On every other plan you build the menu yourself in the dashboard.

Step 3: Generate your QR codes

Create as many QR codes as you need, one for each table or hotel room. Print them yourself, or ask us to print them for you (printing is charged separately). Guests scan the code with their phone camera and your menu opens in their browser.

Optional: add dishes in 3D

On plans with AR dishes, you can show dishes in 3D on the guest's table. Scan the plated dish with the free KIRI Engine app, upload the scan to your dashboard, and ART turns it into a phone-friendly 3D model. Our KIRI Engine guide on this blog covers the scan in detail.
